Our Story
At LES, we are committed to providing an atmosphere where everyone is respected, encouraged,
and challenged to persevere, every day, to reach their goals.
Loranger Elementary is located in the heart of the rural community of Loranger in the mid east section of Tangipahoa Parish. Originally a timber and farming community, settled by the Loranger brothers in 1899, the area now is very diverse. With the first Loranger school dating back to 1912, our student population of over 750 students in PK-4th grade now, is very diverse and is reflected in the student body.
Loranger Elementary has shown continued academic growth as measured by the Louisiana State Department of Education. At LES, we strive to support the diverse needs of all of our students and their different learning styles. Our faculty works hard to to prepare students to master fundamental skills in all curriculum areas and guide students toward their maximum achievement. They also integrate technology into the classroom through the use of Chromebooks, SMART Boards, and various other forms of technology equipment to supplement curriculum learning. We will continue to refine, modify, expand, and enrich our curriculum as necessary to meet the needs of our students. We strive to foster positive teacher-student relationships which results in scholastic growth for our students and the advancement of their creative abilities.
